The Opportunity

Student Services plays a vital role in delivering a positive, transformational experience for all UniSC students. The division supports student success and engagement through a broad range of services including admissions, enrolments, scholarships, graduations, student systems, wellbeing, learning advice, careers and employability, and more. Operating across multiple campuses, the team works collaboratively to deliver initiatives and services that help students thrive throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Based at UniSC’s vibrant Sunshine Coast campus, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Student Services Operations Officer to support the smooth operation of the division. You’ll work closely with the Operations Coordinator and senior leadership to provide confidential administrative support, assist with recruitment and finance processes, and contribute to divisional projects. You'll join a supportive and collaborative team committed to delivering service excellence and enhancing the student experience.

You will:

  • provide high-level administrative support, including diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination, and maintaining office systems;
  • support People and Culture processes such as recruitment coordination and onboarding, ensuring timely and compliant practices; and
  • assist with financial administration, including processing payments, purchase orders, and reconciling corporate cards.

About you:

You are a solutions-focused administrative professional with a passion for quality service and efficient operations. With strong organisational and communication skills, you are confident handling a wide range of administrative responsibilities, maintaining confidentiality, and navigating complex processes.

You thrive in a team-oriented environment and bring initiative, professionalism, and a positive attitude to your work. Your experience interpreting policy, managing competing priorities, and building productive relationships across a large organisation will position you for success in this role.

You will possess:

  • a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • proven experience in providing high-level administrative support in a busy, customer-focused environment;
  • strong communication skills, with the ability to manage correspondence, draft professional documents, and interact confidently with diverse stakeholders;
  • demonstrated ability to use initiative, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality;
  • sound knowledge of university policies and the ability to interpret and apply guidelines appropriately; and
  • proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and experience with enterprise systems for managing records, scheduling, and reporting.
