The Opportunity

Join UniSC and help drive global learning opportunities! In this dynamic role, you'll lead strategic planning, promotion, and communication to boost participation in international programs. You'll provide end-to-end support for staff and students, from pre-departure to re-entry, while managing grants, ensuring quality assurance, and enhancing policies. Strong stakeholder relationships, compliance oversight, and risk management will be key, along with delivering training on UniSC’s learning abroad systems. You will

  • actively contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of UniSC’s Global Learning Strategy, ensuring it aligns with the university’s overall goals and responds to emerging trends in global education;
  • proactively promote UniSC’s global learning opportunities through a range of channels, leading to increased participation rates. This includes effective communication, relationship management, and the administration of grants; and
  • maintain high standards of quality assurance and compliance for policies, procedures, systems and frameworks related to learning abroad.

About you

You have a strong ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and engagement. With excellent analytical skills, you accurately record and interpret data to produce insightful reports. Highly self-motivated, you work both independently and as part of a team, using initiative, problem-solving, and time management to navigate complex tasks with minimal supervision. Your proactive and adaptable approach ensures efficiency and success in dynamic environments.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in a highly relevant fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
  • proven ability to effectively promote student centred programs through various channels, with strong communication skills to engage diverse audiences and increase participation rates.
  • experience in providing support services aligned to the various phases of global learning programs – pre-departure, on-program, and re-entry.
  • Knowledge and experience in effectively managing risk and compliance obligations and in developing and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Personal or professional experience in the learning abroad sector and/or previous study/work abroad.

Desirable

  • Experience and expertise in using, maintaining and optimising a learning abroad system.
  • Experience in managing the administration of government grants.
