The Opportunity

In this role, you will support all aspects of UniSC Clinical Trials (UniSC CT) contract administration, helping to facilitate high-quality clinical research activities across the University. You will assist with due diligence and governance processes, while working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to support the negotiation, review, and finalisation of clinical trial agreements.

Partnering with teams across Business Development and Finance, as well as Sponsors, CROs, and third-party vendors, you will play an important role in managing contractual processes, mitigating risk to the University, and ensuring clinical trials are established efficiently and compliantly. You will

  • Assist in the triage of clinical trials contracts and agreements to assess requirements for due diligence and administrative contracts management;
  • Support the governance required for clinical trials contracts and agreements from initial negotiation with external partners to execution; and
  • Ensure researchers comply with internal requirements and understand the contractual milestones and other key obligations.

About you

Our ideal candidate will bring exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. You will work confidently both independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, building strong and effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. In addition, you will demonstrate advanced computer proficiency, with experience using databases, clinical trial electronic data capture systems, word processing software, and spreadsheets.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a degree, or an associate diploma with at least two years subsequent experience or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience;
  • Sound knowledge of ICH GCP and applicable regulations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with strong attention to detail;
  • Sound understanding of privacy principals governing health information;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
  • High level of digital literacy (including databases, Microsoft Word and Excel).
