The Opportunity

Join UniSC’s Academic Support Unit and play a key role in delivering high-quality Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences across the University. The WIL Team provides specialist support for student placements across undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degree by research programs, ensuring students are well-prepared for safe, compliant, and meaningful workplace learning opportunities.

In this role, you will support the administration and coordination of WIL placements, working closely with students, academic staff, internal stakeholders, and external host organisations. You will help ensure placements are effectively managed, records and systems are maintained, and students receive high-quality support throughout their placement journey.

You will

  • provide high-quality administrative and system support for WIL placements, including managing pre-placement requirements, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Placement Management System;
  • liaise with students, academic staff, and host organisations to coordinate safe, compliant, and effective placement experiences; and
  • contribute to continuous improvement across WIL processes, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to enhance service delivery and student outcomes.

About you

You are a proactive and service-focused professional with strong administrative capability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse stakeholder environment. You thrive in a dynamic setting and enjoy balancing systems, people, and process improvement.

You will possess:

  • a degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and demonstrated industry experience;
  • strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
  • experience providing high-quality client-focused support, including working with systems, data management, reporting, and maintaining accurate records;
  • well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external host organisations;
  • demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, solve problems, and escalate issues appropriately; and
  • experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, process development, or policy-driven work practices, with knowledge of WIL, placements, or higher education environments highly regarded.
