The Opportunity

Take the lead in shaping hands-on learning experiences with a role that offers autonomy and impact. You'll provide expert technical support for undergraduate Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy programs, ensuring practical and simulation classes run seamlessly. By coordinating resources and delivering specialist support, you’ll enhance student learning, creating an engaging and high-quality practical experience that helps them achieve their academic and professional goals.

You will

  • provide technical support and expertise to practical undergraduate teaching to facilitate optimal learning for students in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy programs;
  • liaise with academics and technical team members to ensure the delivery of technical support to Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and/or other supported allied health teaching programs;and
  • manage equipment, consumables, and facility safety requirements for practical classes to ensure the teaching facilities are equipped for all teaching and engagement activities.

About you

You are an effective communicator with the ability to engage and collaborate with staff at all levels, fostering strong working relationships. Highly organised and skilled at managing your time, you excel at balancing independent tasks with teamwork. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to navigate practical challenges with confidence, ensuring efficiency and positive outcomes in a dynamic environment.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant degree in a health science or equivalent, with subsequent relevant experience within an educational environment or health industry, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
  • experience in providing a broad range of technical and practical support in a physiotherapy or occupational therapy or allied health discipline at tertiary level would be desirable;
  • knowledge of workplace health and safety including experience in conducting, documenting, and implementing outcomes of risk assessments and operating procedures;
  • A demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of cleaning/housekeeping in a practical environment and the ability to document reports and produce operational procedures;
  • Sound computer skills and experience using software applications such as MS Office Suite, Teams and a range of other computer applications; and
  • Current driver’s licence.
