The Opportunity

As Senior Technical ERP Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of managing and enhancing UniSC’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensuring they run smoothly and support the university’s strategic goals. These systems integrate business processes and data across multiple areas, keeping operations efficient and information accurate. You'll work closely with IT and other teams to troubleshoot issues, develop and implement system improvements, and oversee the integrity of business applications. With your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you’ll play a key role in streamlining operations, improving functionality, and making a meaningful impact on UniSC’s success.

You will

  • collaborate with technical and business teams to enhance UniSC’s ERP systems (PeopleSoft HCM and Campus) within a DevSecOps environment, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with university goals;
  • plan, test, and implement updates, upgrades, and critical patches to maintain secure and reliable systems in line with ITIL best practices;
  • oversee internal and external resources to drive operational efficiency, service improvements, and performance reporting, ensuring seamless service for key stakeholders; and
  • support UniSC’s strategic goals by modernising applications and technologies, streamlining processes, and driving efficiency across the university.

You bring a wealth of experience in the design, implementation, and optimisation of ERP systems, particularly with PeopleSoft, and you're excited to play a key role in driving UniSC’s success. Your expertise in configuring and customising systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing exceptional support to users across the university will be critical in ensuring smooth operations and enhancing efficiency. You're passionate about continuously improving business processes and optimising the use of technology to deliver measurable results. With your strong understanding of data management, security, and compliance, you’ll safeguard our systems while supporting innovation. You're a natural collaborator, skilled at managing vendor relationships and working with cross-functional teams to implement upgrades, enhancements, and new systems. You will possess:

  • A strong understanding of the solution delivery lifecycle, with the ability to lead or contribute to a project from start to finish, or jump in at any stage to ensure successful delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of the PeopleSoft ERP solution, including Tuxedo, Weblogic, Opensearch Servers, and PUM images for HCM and Campus modules, with a focus on product maintenance.
  • Extensive experience providing end-to-end support in enterprise application environments (such as PeopleSoft or SAP), including client advice, testing, and working within ITIL frameworks.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex application issues across data, application, server, and network layers, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing system implementation and upgrade projects, ensuring they’re completed on time, within budget, and with successful outcomes.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex system integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks with competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting information, supporting users, conducting training, and collaborating with vendors and system owners.
  • A track record of providing strategic advice to help shape long-term planning within a large organisation.
