The Opportunity

Join UniSC and play a key role in supporting Financial Services! You'll coordinate projects within Financial Services, leading initiatives and will work closely with the CFO to maintain the function’s professional integrity and drive operational efficiencies. In this dynamic role, you'll oversee strategic and day-to-day operations, offering proactive guidance and advice to staff to ensure the department runs smoothly. You’ll coordinate department communications and correspondence and assist in change management pieces for the department. If you're an organised, detail-oriented professional with a passion for efficiency and excellence, we’d love to hear from you!

You will

  • coordinate the day-to-day strategic and administrative operations of Financial Services, and lead initiatives which promote efficiencies, team synergies, service delivery and best practice;
  • organise cyclical financial and governance activities, on behalf of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and assign as appropriate to ensure compliance;
  • provide project management and communication support for Financial Services projects and internal and external communication strategies to support the organisation and prioritisation of works, including progress tracking; and
  • deliver high-level administrative support to the Financial Services leadership team.

About you

You are a highly organised, self-motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. With a strong ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work independently, you confidently manage multiple tasks with minimal direction. Adaptable and resilient, you embrace change and navigate evolving priorities with ease while maintaining a collaborative, team-focused approach. Your excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written communication skills make you an effective communicator, and your ability to plan, coordinate processes, projects, and people ensures seamless and efficient operations.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant administrative and financial experience in a large organisation, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training;
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary project management and financial administration principles, with the ability to use that knowledge to triage complex issues that come through to the CFO’s office, and either redirect those issues to other functions of the office, or brief the CFO on those issues;
  • Capacity to provide high level administrative support, analyse issues, establish a course of action, adopt a proactive and solution focused attitude; and
  • Well-developed computing skills, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed documents across a number of software applications, in particular the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with TechnologyOne is highly desirable.
