The Opportunity
Join us in a key role where you will provide expert People & Culture business partnering services to designated University client groups. Balancing strategic leadership with a hands-on approach, you'll drive long-term goals while ensuring day-to-day people and culture service delivery. Your impact will be felt in aligning our people strategies with university objectives, nurturing an inclusive, high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and enterprise agreements. Collaborating closely with People & Culture subject matter experts, you'll lead the delivery of contemporary, evidence-based people solutions to support the evolving needs of our university.
You will
be a trusted advisor, providing strategic and practical people solutions that empower our university community;
navigate complex staffing challenges with tailored, effective, and high-impact solutions; and
shape the future of our people and culture services by driving fresh ideas and smarter ways of working.

With your deep expertise in people and culture, you’ll guide managers and staff through complex people matters, shaping policies, and driving initiatives that strengthen our university community. Your ability to translate strategy into action means you don’t just develop great ideas, you bring them to life, partnering with teams across the university to create a workplace where people thrive. To be successful you will possess:
Extensive experience in people and culture practices, applying workplace relations, change management, and workforce planning to create a thriving workplace.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to coach, consult, and influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
Sharp analytical skills to navigate complex people challenges, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver practical solutions.
Clear and concise written communication, with experience translating complex P&C concepts into effective policies and guidelines.
A highly organised approach, with a track record of delivering impactful people-focused programs and initiatives.
Proficiency in P&C systems, HRIS platforms, and data analysis tools, using technology to drive insights and support decision-making.
A reputation for discretion, integrity, and ethical decision-making in handling sensitive people matters.
