The Opportunity

Join the University of the Sunshine Coast's prestigious Clinical Trials business unit, renowned for enhancing the region's clinical research capabilities and pioneering regionally impactful research in collaboration with local healthcare experts, pharmaceutical leaders, and influential thought pioneers. As our Marketing Design Assistant, you will play a pivotal role supporting the Clinical Trials Marketing and Recruitment teams. Utilising your graphic design expertise, you will craft compelling, top-tier graphics and content across diverse marketing channels such as newsletters, social media, websites, and beyond. You will

  • work closely with the Participant Outreach Coordinator and team members to create impactful marketing materials for awarded clinical trials;
  • play a key role in driving successful advertising campaigns across diverse platforms, including Meta, Reddit, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Ads, and the UniSC Clinical Trials website; and
  • showcase your graphic design talent by crafting engaging, high-quality visuals and content for a variety of marketing platforms.

Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a passion for creating impactful, engaging marketing content. You bring a mix of creativity and strategic thinking, ready to support the development of powerful marketing materials for UniSC’s innovative clinical trials. You’re someone who can identify the right communication channels to reach the right audiences, driving successful campaigns across a range of platforms like Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and more. You’re not just about delivering great content – you also know how to analyse campaign performance, find solutions to challenges, and optimise results. With a strong eye for design, you’ll craft compelling graphics and content that engage participants and stakeholders alike. Above all, you’re excited about the opportunity to contribute to our mission of advancing clinical research while connecting with diverse communities.

You will possess:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media across a variety of platforms.
  • Excellent organisational, project management, and event coordination skills, with the ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with design tools like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
  • Solid graphic design expertise and a deep understanding of branding, layout, colour theory, and typography for both print and digital media.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the region and between campuses for meetings and events.
