Through your research and scholarly engagement, you will build UniSC’s national and international profile in taxation and accounting, publish in high-quality journals, attract external funding, and supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates. In addition, you will mentor emerging academics and contribute to a positive, high-performing culture across the School.

You will:

  • develop and coordinate engaging, future-focused curricula that embed Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and prepare students for professional success.
  • build and sustain research and industry partnerships that enhance UniSC’s profile in taxation and accounting through impactful scholarship and collaboration.

About you:

You are an accomplished academic or industry professional with deep expertise in taxation and accounting, and a passion for developing the next generation of commerce professionals. You combine scholarly excellence with practical insight, inspiring students through authentic, future-ready learning experiences. Collaborative and community-minded, you thrive on connecting education, research, and industry to achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will possess:

  • A doctoral qualification (or equivalent accreditation and standing) in Accounting, Taxation, or a related discipline;
  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian taxation, with a strong understanding of contemporary industry practices and regulatory frameworks;
  • A proven track record of effective teaching, curriculum innovation, and leadership in higher education;
