The Opportunity

Become an integral member of the International Admissions and Compliance team, responsible for assessing and admitting international students in line with UniSC policies and legislative frameworks. You will ensure timely, accurate processing of applications, maintain compliance with key regulations such as the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act and the Commonwealth’s simplified student visa framework (SSVF), and provide high-quality advice to applicants and stakeholders. Your contribution will directly support the University’s mission to increase cultural diversity and international enrolment growth.

You will

  • assess international student applications to determine eligibility against University policies, admission requirements, and visa regulations;
  • provide clear, timely advice to applicants, agents, and internal stakeholders regarding admissions, enrolment, fees, scholarships, and visa-related matters; and
  • apply proactive application case management to contribute to diverse international student growth.

About you

You bring a combination of relevant qualifications and experience in international admissions or a similar customer-focused environment. You are knowledgeable of international student regulations and adept at managing complex applications in a high-volume context. Your strong communication skills and cultural awareness enable you to engage effectively with diverse international clients and internal stakeholders. You are organised, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent service in a dynamic environment.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant degree with subsequent work experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience;
  • experience in international admissions within the Australian higher education sector or demonstrated ability to work in complex, customer-focused roles;
  • proficiency with university systems and databases or the aptitude to learn quickly;
  • knowledge or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of SSVF, The National Code (ESOS), PRISMS, and associated compliance frameworks; and
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated cultural competence.

Desirable

  • fluency in a language other than English and of significance to the University's recruitment strategy in in South or South-East Asia.
