The Opportunity

The Manager, School Operational Support plays a key role in making sure our Schools run smoothly, and that staff and students have the support they need to do their best work. Leading a large, multi-campus team, the role focuses on delivering practical, consistent and high-quality operational services that make a real difference to the student and teaching experience. As part of the Academic Support Unit leadership team, this role also contributes to broader planning and decision-making, ensuring our operations are efficient, collaborative and aligned with UniSC’s strategic direction.

You will

  • lead and support the School Operational Support team to deliver high-quality services that enhance relationships and the UniSC experience;
  • build a culture of service excellence, flexibility and continuous improvement;
  • drive consistent, efficient and compliant operations across all schools, grounded in best practice; and
  • contribute to the ASU leadership team, working collaboratively to achieve shared goals

You will possess:

  • Proven experience leading operational teams in higher education across multiple sites and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of higher education operations and current higher education trends.
  • Skilled in business and operational management, driving efficiency, process improvement, and risk management.
  • Experience implementing shared services and consistent administrative practices across disciplines and locations.
  • Track record of fostering service excellence and continuous improvement, solving complex challenges with practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative leadership style that promotes transparency, respect, and solutions-focused teamwork.
