The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in supporting the student experience by delivering high-quality administrative services across a range of student matters. With a strong focus on client service, you’ll be the first point of contact for students and staff, providing friendly, accurate, and timely advice via phone and email each day. Your attention to detail and commitment to helping others will ensure every interaction contributes to a positive and seamless university experience.

You will

  • provide high-quality administrative and client support across admission, enrolment, progression, graduation, and curriculum data management activities;
  • ensure accuracy and integrity of student information and records through effective use of the Student Information System (PeopleSoft) and related databases; and
  • contribute to continuous improvement of student administration processes and the delivery of efficient, client-focused services within Student Business Services.

With strong interpersonal and organisational skills, you communicate clearly and respond to customer needs in a friendly, professional manner. A supportive and reliable team member, you work collaboratively to achieve shared goals while confidently managing your own workload. You thrive in a high-volume environment, demonstrating initiative, efficiency, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

You will possess:

  • A sound understanding of the Australian secondary and tertiary education system;
  • Experience in and a commitment to the provision of quality client service, including a high level of interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to:
    • Communicate and respond to customer needs in a friendly manner;
    • Be an effective, co-operative and contributing member of a team;
    • Prioritise and meet deadlines;
    • Work with minimal supervision in a high volume work environment;
  • An ability to assess problems and situations and respond efficiently and effectively;
  • Ability to identify business processes improvement opportunities and to advise on potential solutions; and
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to develop, maintain, manipulate and report from data bases and in the use of a customer management system.
