The Opportunity

Play a key role in shaping academic excellence as an Accreditation Coordinator! You'll foster strong relationships and provide expert advice to program development teams, ensuring alignment with UniSC’s policies and external accreditation requirements. With a focus on program planning, compliance, and quality assurance, you'll support governance and uphold the University’s Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum Framework. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high academic standards, we’d love to hear from you!

You will

  • act as the primary contact for internal and external accreditation activities by building partnerships with academic and administrative leaders, professional staff, central units, and external accrediting bodies;
  • provide specialist advice and high-level guidance to school program development teams, aligning accreditation expectations with the University’s Learning and Teaching and Curriculum Framework. Ensure that all processes adhere to UniSC’s policies and procedures to uphold the quality of academic programs;
  • organise and provide secretariat support for committees, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure efficient communication and reporting; and
  • enhance processes using a continuous improvement and best practice ethos and create an outstanding customer experience in line with the imperatives of the University strategic plan.

About you

You excel in problem-solving and conceptual thinking, adept at developing creative solutions while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgement. Your proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite—including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, and OneDrive—enables you to quickly learn new systems and processes. Adaptable and thriving in dynamic environments, you work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Please note, while this role is primarily based at UniSC's Sunshine Coast campus, occasional travel to other UniSC campuses may be required to support administrative needs. Therefore, flexibility and a current driver's license are essential.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a degree with subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or education or training;
  • Knowledge and understanding of university administration, including the broad range of Government and University legislation, policies and procedures associated with Accreditation;
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and apply relevant legislation and policy, applying solid judgement to assess risk and make decisions, assessments or recommendations within a complex environment;
  • Demonstrated organisational and interpersonal skills, including cultural awareness, to enable effective liaison with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at a variety of levels, along with the ability to handle multiple-tasks and competing deadlines simultaneously, and work as an effective team member and autonomously;
  • Ability to contribute to and lead aspects of digital reporting including preparation of reports, proposals, electronic repositories, and governance submissions; and
  • Current open driver’s license.
