The Opportunity

You will plan, develop and deliver student recruitment events for the Future Students team. The Recruitment Events Officer brings together a range of marketing functions, including design, digital marketing and strategic communications to effectively promote and develop events and engagement activity.

You will

  • develop, deliver and evaluate recruitment events and activity to promote UniSC’s undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities;
  • coordinate marketing and communication functions that support the promotion and delivery of recruitment events and activity; and;
  • contribute to the development of marketing communication campaigns for student recruitment events, including writing copy and briefs.

About you

Your well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills enable you to excel in this role, facilitating clear and effective interaction with team members and stakeholders. Your strong organisational abilities, combined with the capacity to manage your own workload and meet deadlines, allow you to prioritise and balance conflicting demands efficiently.

You demonstrate a high level of competence in computer literacy and record keeping, supported by a keen attention to detail. This, alongside your ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensures that tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Your proven track record of fostering teamwork and collaboration beyond immediate teams helps to create a cohesive work environment, driving exceptional results. By leveraging your ability to work cooperatively, you contribute to achieving collective goals and exceeding expectations.

You will possess:

  • possess a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education / training;
  • sound knowledge and skills in marketing and communications;
  • experience in all components of event delivery, including planning, logistics, stakeholder engagement, risk management, budget management and evaluation; and
  • proven track record of troubleshooting, thinking laterally in situations where precedents may not be apparent, and taking responsibility to deliver positive outcomes for internal and external clients.
