You will

  • drive the successful delivery of UniSC’s new timetabling system - bringing strategy, user needs, and project milestones together into one seamless solution;
  • take the lead in spotting risks early and working with the right people to keep the project on track and running smoothly; and
  • oversee the system integration to ensure the new solution works effortlessly across the university.

About you

Our ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives on complexity, sees opportunity in change, and knows how to bring people together to get things done. You're someone who can steer a large-scale project with confidence, balancing big-picture thinking with the day-to-day detail. You're strategic, solutions-focused, and great at making things happen, all while keeping communication open and meaningful. If you're energised by the idea of delivering something that will genuinely improve how we work, teach, and connect across the university, this could be the role for you.

You will possess:

  • Extensive experience delivering major IT projects in higher education, particularly across systems like timetabling, student information, learning management, curriculum or CRM.
  • A strong grasp of business processes, with the ability to assess digital impacts, manage risks, and drive smarter, more efficient ways of working.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and deliver complex solutions on time and to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across all levels.
  • Solid experience using project management frameworks and tools such as ServiceNow, Asana and Microsoft 365.
  • The insight to navigate senior governance structures and influence outcomes in complex organisations.
  • Well-rounded expertise in project delivery, including change, finance, procurement, and contract management.
  • Experience working with vendors and a strong understanding of procurement and contract management within GITC or similar frameworks.
