The Opportunity

Join the Centre for Support and Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CSALT), a key driver of UniSC’s commitment to high-quality learning and teaching. CSALT supports curriculum innovation, enhances the student experience, and fosters strong partnerships with academic and professional staff across the University. Through a range of initiatives, including the Curriculum Design Framework and PACE Learning and Teaching model, CSALT support the Academic Portfolio in the delivery of transformative learning experiences and ensures excellence in program design and delivery.

As the Education Policy and Partnerships Lead, you will shape education policy, support quality curriculum and learning partnerships to support UniSC’s strategic teaching goals. You will provide expert guidance to staff and stakeholders, lead the development and implementation of policies and processes, and coordinate partnerships that ensure quality, consistency, and innovation in learning and teaching across the University.

You will

  • provide strategic advice on education policies, procedures, and curriculum to support quality program delivery and strategic university goals;
  • lead the review, development, approval and communication of delegated education policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements; 
  • develop, implement and maintain efficient processes and resources to support academic staff in curriculum development and review, including automation where appropriate; and
  • coordinate learning partnerships in alignment with strategic teaching goals.

About you

You are a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills. You thrive in a collaborative academic environment, can navigate complex policy and curriculum processes, and are passionate about enhancing the student learning experience. You enjoy building strong partnerships, leading projects, and translating complex requirements into clear, practical solutions.

You will possess:

  • relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in education policy, curriculum management, or a related field in a higher education setting;
  • strong knowledge of how university strategic priorities, policies, and procedures support learning and teaching excellence;
  • demonstrated organisational skills to coordinate complex curriculum and partnership activities;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing policy, procedure, and guidance documentation and managing the communication of delegated policy change;
  • understanding of the university environment, programs, legislative requirements, and governance relating to curriculum and learning partnerships; and
  • proficiency in systems such as SharePoint, Teams, and Canvas, with the ability to adapt skills to other relevant technologies.
