The Opportunity

Student Services strives to provide a positive, transformational experience for all students, supporting their success and development. The Business Systems Analyst will work closely with functional teams to enhance administrative processes, support accurate reporting, and contribute to a high-quality student experience.

UniSC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to support the Student Services and Engagement portfolio. In this role, you will provide expert functional advice, support process improvements, and contribute to the integrity and efficiency of the Student Information System (SIS). You will work closely with stakeholders across Student Services, Faculties, and other business units to develop solutions that enhance student administration processes.

You will

  • support and advise on the effective operation of the Student Information System across all areas of student administration;
  • maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with legislative and reporting requirements through process improvements;
  • develop and deliver technical documentation, manuals, and training to staff; and
  • analyse, prioritise, and implement solutions, including system enhancements, testing, and configuration.

About you

You are a solutions-focused professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You can manage competing priorities, communicate clearly with a diverse range of stakeholders, and deliver high-quality outcomes. Your technical knowledge, combined with your understanding of student administration, allows you to provide effective advice and support to staff and the wider university community.

You will possess:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience, or specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Experience preparing specifications, conducting user needs analysis, and producing detailed documentation;
  • Knowledge of higher education legislation and processes related to student admissions, enrolments, fees, and charges;
  • Ability to consult, advise, and train a wide range of internal and external clients effectively;
  • Proven experience in identifying, developing, and implementing business improvements; and
  • Experience in testing and implementing system changes while ensuring data integrity.
