The Opportunity

You will provide high-level administrative support within the Safety and Fieldwork team at UniSC, focusing on coordinating and improving administrative systems to support teaching and research goals. You will offer expert advice on safety protocols and fieldwork requirements, ensuring compliance with university policies, and promoting a positive team culture. The position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of university procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

You will

  • provide high-level support and advice across a broad range of administrative activities in supporting delivery of safety and fieldwork services whilst facilitating a culture of reporting and compliance;
  • be an effective member of the Safety and Fieldwork team to ensure the success of the team;
  • create an outstanding client experience in line with the goals of the University strategic plan; and
  • enhance processes using continuous improvement and best practices.

About you

Your strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills will enable you to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals and provide essential support in report preparation. You bring well-developed organisational and troubleshooting abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands. Your ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters with discretion will be crucial in ensuring smooth and effective operations.

You will possess:

  • completion of a degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training;
  • substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level with a commitment to providing a high level of quality client service;
  • demonstrated ability to maintain a sound understanding and apply organisational policies, procedures, and operations;
  • effective skills in committee administration support including minutes, agenda and records management; and
  • well -developed computer literacy, data base operation, collation/analysis of data sets, record keeping, and website authoring. Advanced experience in SharePoint is an advantage.
