Supporting all UniSC campuses, you’ll translate business needs into user-centric solutions, develop digital literacy content, and contribute to policies and standards for seamless technology adoption. You will

  • Enhance User-Centric Digital Workplace Services: Provide high-level support and design for Workplace Technologies that cater to the needs of staff and students, ensuring a seamless experience both remotely and on-campus;
  • Administer and Optimise Workplace Technologies: Administer Digital Workplace services that include the Microsoft 365 platform, audio/video and endpoint technologies, and other productivity applications to support the university's educational and administrative activities;
  • Contribute to the security, compliance, and governance of the digital workplace, ensuring effective integration with Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID, and supporting the digitisation of business processes; and
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service: Ensure the effective delivery of services against key performance indicators via a consistent and appropriate application of applicable methodologies and toolsets.

About you

You are a problem solver with a passion for innovation, always seeking ways to enhance the educational environment through technology. Your strong organisational and interpersonal skills allow you to communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—ensuring clear documentation, adherence to procedures, and accurate record-keeping. You excel at delivering responsive, client-focused support to users with varying levels of technological expertise. A true team player, you work collaboratively while also taking initiative in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Your ability to gather and document functional requirements enables you to develop and communicate effective solutions, and you’re adept at creating knowledge articles that empower staff and students through self-service resources.

You will possess:

  • Hold a relevant degree qualification with at least four years’ subsequent relevant Digital Workplace technologies experience with a focus on communications and collaboration services, or an equivalent combination of extensive specialist knowledge, training, and experience, preferably within an enterprise technology environment in organisations of significant size;
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in the Digital Workplace Technologies including Microsoft 365, audio/video and endpoint technologies, and productivity applications relevant to the university environment;
  • Expertise and experience in Microsoft Teams Voice, including setup, call management, and advanced features like auto attendants. Improve contact center operations by mastering customer interaction techniques, workflow management, performance metrics, technical troubleshooting, and compliance with data protection regulations;
  • Ability to provide exceptional support to users, addressing their needs and ensuring a positive experience across all Digital Workplace Technologies;
  • Experience in the operation and support of enterprise communication and collaboration platforms / systems, with specific experience in Microsoft 365 services, such as Power Platform, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra;
  • Experience in the application of IT security, compliance, and governance principles in relation to Microsoft 365 platform collaboration and communication systems, using systems such as AvePoint and Microsoft Purview, Microsoft defender to ensure UniSC’s requirements are met;
  • A sound understanding of the diverse IT needs of Teaching and Research, administrative, professional and technical staff, and student populations in the University sector with and an appreciation of equity issues;
  • Experience in project management methodologies, supporting contract negotiations, maintaining service level agreements, and competence in data analysis with the ability to generate reports to support business decisions; and
  • Experience with change management processes and tools for implementing new technologies, along with knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks for operational support and service delivery.
