The Opportunity

As Test Coordinator at UniSC, you'll play a key role in shaping how we deliver high-quality testing services across the university. From supporting major IT projects to uplifting testing and assurance practices more broadly, you’ll help set the standard for how we work, collaborating with teams across academic and professional areas to embed better ways of doing things. This is a chance to lead meaningful improvements, share your know-how, and support a culture of quality that benefits students, staff and the broader UniSC community.

You will

  • support UniSC’s big-picture goals by helping to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose IT services through smart, thorough testing practices;
  • take the lead in evolving our testing frameworks, pushing for smarter, faster, and more automated approaches across all software environments; and
  • help keep things running smoothly by embedding consistent, repeatable testing processes that give every change the best chance of success in the real world.

About you

Our ideal candidate is someone who brings a strong grasp of testing practices and a genuine drive to help others get it right. You're comfortable leading conversations about quality assurance, translating strategy into action, and supporting teams to lift their approach. You know how to balance structure with flexibility, designing testing processes that are thorough, repeatable, and fit for purpose. You’re someone who spots opportunities to improve, builds strong relationships, and keeps things moving smoothly from planning through to production. If you’re excited by the idea of making a real impact across both academic and professional areas, we’d love to hear from you.

You will possess:

  • Strong experience across the full testing lifecycle, including different types and phases of testing.
  • A good understanding of how IT services work together across systems.
  • A current ISTQB or CSTP testing certification to show your knowledge of software testing.
  • The ability to clearly communicate testing updates, issues and ideas to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with test planning, automation and execution, using structured approaches that work.
  • The skills to turn business processes into useful test cases and scenarios.
  • Experience testing complete business processes and how different systems work together.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience in software testing roles.
  • An understanding of how contact centres work and their role in the wider organisation.
