The Opportunity

Join our team and support field-based teaching and research programs across the university! In this role, you'll coordinate equipment bookings, maintenance, training, and records to ensure seamless support for teaching and research activities. You will

  • provide technical support to teaching and research fieldwork activities including coordinating field equipment bookings, maintenance, training and records; and
  • problem solving, and implementation of technical practices while ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

About you

You're a team player with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative group. Your strong manual handling skills enable you to lift, carry, bend, and twist to move equipment, making you well-suited for a role that involves storing and transporting gear. You thrive in dynamic, high-demand environments, efficiently conducting manual tasks. Additionally, you have a demonstrated commitment to complying with contemporary safety standards, ensuring that field equipment, operations, and facilities are managed with the highest level of safety and care.

You will possess:

  • completion of an associate diploma with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education;
  • demonstratable knowledge and work experience in handling and maintaining field equipment;
  • current C class driver’s licence; and
  • experience in towing, parking and manoeuvring large trailers is desirable.
