About the Role

As a TA Officer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring UniSC attracts, engages, and hires top Academic and professional services talent. Working closely with hiring managers and P&C colleagues, you’ll provide expert advice and deliver efficient, high-quality recruitment services that align with the university’s strategic goals. Your work will contribute to building a diverse and talented workforce that helps UniSC grow and thrive.

You’ll recruit for a diverse range of roles across the university, from leading academic researchers and educators in Health, Science, Technology and Engineering, Business and Creative Industries, Law and Society, and Education and Tertiary Access to professional services staff across marketing, IT, legal, facilities, and more. Success in this role will rely on your ability to understand the unique needs of each area, build strong relationships with hiring managers, and attract the right talent to support UniSC’s growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating recruitment activities, including job advertisements, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
  • Providing advice on recruitment best practices, compliance with university policies, and employment legislation.
  • Supporting senior recruitment processes, including talent mapping, scheduling, and administration.
  • Managing candidate experience to ensure a seamless and positive journey.
  • Sourcing and engaging with top talent through job boards, social media, and direct sourcing strategies.
  • Contributing to recruitment-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You’re a proactive, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Passionate about recruitment, you take pride in delivering an outstanding candidate experience and partnering with hiring managers to achieve great outcomes. You bring an innovative mindset, strong attention to detail, and a solutions-focused approach to everything you do. You bring:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • Experience using an ATS (PageUp experience desirable) and HR platforms to facilitate hiring processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of recruitment compliance, employment legislation, and visa sponsorship requirements.
  • A positive and solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the higher education sector would be highly regarded.
