The Opportunity
 
Bring your financial expertise to a role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the University’s day-to-day financial operations and ensuring seamless integration with core financial systems. You’ll deliver accurate, timely, and reliable guidance that not only upholds Financial Services’ high standards but also meets the diverse needs of stakeholders across the University.
 
Working in a collaborative, customer-focused team, you’ll take a business partnering approach, engaging with internal clients to design practical solutions that enhance operations and contribute to the achievement of both operational and strategic goals. You will
  • Contribute to the design, development, and configuration of ERP (TechnologyOne) functionality, modules and financial applications tailored to business requirements. This includes customising existing solutions, integrating with enterprise systems, such as HR, Student, IT, and third-party platforms and ensuring seamless data flow to optimise performance, scalability, and user experience;
  • Provide high-level support for ERP and financial systems, including software upgrades, user assistance, troubleshooting, and bug resolution. Conduct rigorous testing including functional, integration, and system-level to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance across all platforms; and
  • Maintain robust data governance by enforcing relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines. Support the University’s User Access controls and audit requirements to uphold data integrity, security, and compliance across all ERP and financial systems.
About you
 
You’re a strategic thinker with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate complex business needs into practical, effective system solutions. Committed to delivering outstanding client service, you build strong relationships across the organisation, communicating with influence and negotiating with confidence. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable you to engage stakeholders and provide meaningful user support. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments, balancing independence and collaboration to deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes on time.
 
You will possess:
  • Completion of a relevant degree with extensive experience in financial systems administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a financial systems environment;
  • Demonstrated high-level expertise in enterprise financial systems and understanding of finance and payroll literacy and processes, expertise and experience in the use of MS Office programs (advanced Excel skills) and accounting software;
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, XLOne, ETL, SQL, Power BI) and Business Process Automation and AI Tools; and
  • Experience managing system upgrades, testing, and change control processes.
Desirable:
  • Relevant experience in the higher education sector.
  • Knowledge and previous experience with TechnologyOne, the University’s enterprise finance system.
