The Opportunity
 
Join our team and provide high-level administrative support across the Academic Support Unit, working in close partnership with schools to ensure the smooth delivery of academic programs and initiatives. A key focus will be coordinating Quality Teachers Practical Assessment (QTPA) and Masters Programs, supporting student progression, and assisting with school events. You’ll collaborate with staff and stakeholders to provide informed advice and guidance, drawing on your strong knowledge of the University’s structure, programs, policies, and operations. With your organisational skills and proactive approach, you’ll play an important part in supporting academic delivery and enhancing the student experience.
 
You will
  • Provide high-level support and advice across a broad range of administrative activities in support of the schools that contributes to the academic endeavours including progression of students through their programs, in particular support QTPA (Quality Teachers Practical Assessment);
  • Provide support to school-based events;
  • Enhance processes using a continuous improvement and best practice ethos; and 
  • Create an outstanding customer experience in line with the imperatives of the University strategic plan. 

About you

You’re an effective communicator with the ability to clearly explain processes and produce accurate, well-structured documents. Highly organised and adaptable, you manage multiple priorities and deadlines with confidence while working both independently and as part of a team. With strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, you remain resilient in times of change and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to supporting colleagues.
 
You will possess:
  • Completion of a degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or education or training;
  • Extensive experience providing customer-focussed administrative support, including: 
    • setup and manage complex scheduling scenarios
    • excellent stakeholder management - the ability to respond to and liaise effectively, with the individual needs of students, staff and
    • external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds 
    • the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures 
  • Experience in organising and supporting events;
  • Excellent computer literacy including the ability to use databases, Microsoft 365 applications such as Share Point, teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the ability to learn new systems/packages/processes quickly and effectively; and
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters discreetly is an essential component of this role, as is the ability to exercise good judgement, take initiative and solve problems, as required.
