  • x1 Part-time (0.7 FTE / 25.38 hrs p/w), fixed-term appointment for 12 months

The Opportunity

You will act as the first point of contact for all prospective and current students via phone, email and face to face communications, providing critical support and engagement outcomes for the University. As a member of the Service Centre team, you will act as part of the “front of house team” providing enquiry management for staff and visitors to UniSC Moreton Bay, through professional and meaningful communications.

Please note: there may be a requirement to undertake work during non-standard hours and from other UniSC campus locations from time-to-time. Opportunities for recreational leave may also be restricted during peak periods.

You will

  • effectively manage student matters received via phone, email and face to face inquiries;
  • proactively refer students to relevant specialist staff and follow up if required; and
  • establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and clients through professional communications and efficient use of electronic records systems.

About you

You possess excellent communication skills, with the capacity to show empathy, resolve conflicts and maintain confidentiality.  Moreover, you thrive in collaborative environments, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external partners.

You will possess:

  • demonstrated experience and ability to recognise and respond appropriately to a range of student’s inquiries;
  • a high level of digital literacy including experience with CRM systems;
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative, develop effective solutions and attend to multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines; and
  • an understanding of the challenges that might arise supporting students in distress.
