The Opportunity
Join us as our Senior Internal Audit Manager, a strategic and pivotal role driving excellence in governance, risk management, and internal controls at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC). In this senior leadership position, you will provide independent, expert assurance and advice across the University’s operations, playing a key role in safeguarding our assets, enhancing organisational effectiveness, and advancing our vision to create a better tomorrow.
You will work closely with the Director of Governance and Risk Management and the Audit and Risk Management Committee to develop and execute a robust Internal Audit Plan aligned with UniSC’s strategic goals and risk appetite. Your expertise in contemporary audit methodologies, risk frameworks, and stakeholder engagement will enable you to influence positive outcomes across our diverse academic and administrative environment. You are a strategic thinker and highly skilled internal audit professional with significant experience leading risk-based assurance activities in complex organisational environments. You thrive in senior leadership roles where robust governance and administrative processes underpin operational success.
You are proactive, independent, and resilient, adept at balancing competing priorities while driving initiatives that strengthen the University’s control environment and compliance frameworks. Your ability to engage stakeholders, influence positive change, and deliver practical solutions ensures continuous improvement and aligns risk management with organisational goals.
