We're looking for a skilled professional to contribute to our forward-thinking culture, implementing a comprehensive plan to enhance privacy management, and data and AI governance practices across all areas of the University.

You will
Understand the capabilities and limitations of technology in managing data governance and privacy;
Take the lead in redesigning and executing practical frameworks, policies, and practices for privacy and data and AI governance, driving a holistic enhancement of our standards;
Facilitate collaborative discussions thorough analyses to integrate privacy and data governance seamlessly into all aspects of university operations; and
Drive the implementation of a plan to improve privacy management, strengthening our organisational capabilities while ensuring compliance with privacy, AI and data protection regulations.
About you:
To thrive in this position, we're seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in change management, transformation, and business improvement. You'll be skilled at consulting teams across various functions, fostering collaboration to realise ambitious program objectives. Your expertise in stakeholder engagement and communication will be instrumental, as you leverage technical specialisation and innovative thinking to develop and implement solutions in privacy and data governance. Beyond specialisation, we value strategic vision, with a keen focus on planning both current and future states.
To be successful you will possess
Demonstrated success in leading and executing a thorough and structured organisational transformation initiative, enhancing operational, human, and technological capacities.
Extensive knowledge or the ability to acquire expertise in privacy and information security legislation, obligations, and their practical application in a multinational environment.
Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, communicate across diverse teams, and recognise the importance of organisational culture when redesigning processes and driving change initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in the design and development of high-quality foundational documentation, frameworks and processes which underpin privacy, data governance and information management.
Understanding of contemporary privacy, data and cloud-based information architecture, storage, security, data governance and management, in alignment with recognised methodologies.
