The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and organised Philanthropy Coordinator to support the Philanthropy team and contribute to the delivery of UniSC’s philanthropic goals. In this role, you will support donor engagement from prospecting through to stewardship and impact reporting, while coordinating philanthropic agreements and managing contract administration. You will work closely with the Manager, Advancement Services, and the broader Advancement team to help identify and secure philanthropic opportunities that support UniSC’s strategic initiatives, including research and student support fundraising.

This role is ideal for someone with strong research, relationship management, and administrative skills, who is passionate about philanthropy and making a real difference through education. You will support the Philanthropy Managers by coordinating their major gift fundraising activity, ensuring high-quality donor service, accurate donor data management, and the effective coordination of philanthropic agreements. Your work will strengthen UniSC’s philanthropic capacity and enable lasting community impact.

You will

  • support prospect research and intelligence gathering on individuals, trusts, foundations, and businesses to identify philanthropic opportunities;
  • coordinate the creation, renewal, and management of donor agreements, including contract administration and invoicing through UniSC’s API systems; and
  • assist with donor stewardship and reporting, including the preparation of proposals, impact reports, and reconciliation documentation to support strong donor relationships and outcomes.

About you

You are a highly organised and proactive professional with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to philanthropy. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. You bring experience in administration, research, and data management, and are motivated to support philanthropic impact through high-quality service and operational excellence.

You will possess:

  • A degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience in fundraising, business development, or related fields;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to philanthropic ethical standards;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organisational and project management skills;
  • Experience in stewardship, administration, and use of databases and Microsoft Office; and
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT, PeopleSoft, or Technology One (preferred).
