The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Student Administration Officer to provide operational support across Student Business Services. In this role, you will contribute to the administration of student activities including admissions, enrolments, timetabling, progressions, scholarships, and graduations, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes in accordance with University policies and procedures.

You will work closely with the Manager, Progression and Graduation and the broader Student Business Services team to provide friendly and professional advice to prospective and current students, as well as UniSC staff. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, contributing to process development, testing, and implementation, and ensuring data integrity across University systems.

You will

  • provide operational support for a broad range of student administrative activities, ensuring compliance with University policies and legislation;
  • identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of enhancements, including documentation and testing; and
  • use UniSC systems (including PeopleSoft, Databee, IRM, LMS, QTAC, and CRM) to complete administrative tasks, maintain data integrity, and support a positive student experience.

About you

You are a highly motivated and customer-focused professional with strong administrative skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a tertiary education context. You have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing competing priorities. You are comfortable using student information systems and enjoy contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the student experience.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a degree or equivalent relevant experience (or at least three years’ experience in student administration in a tertiary environment);
  • Demonstrated experience using computerised student information systems;
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with students, staff, and stakeholders;
  • Proven customer service experience within a tertiary context; and
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and database management.
