The Opportunity

UniSC Clinical Trials is a world-class centre delivering innovative and clinically relevant research in collaboration with healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical sponsors, and community partners.

As Pharmacy Coordinator, you will support the Pharmacy Manager in managing Investigational Products (IP), including ordering, storage, dispensing, and preparation. You will maintain accurate records, monitor inventory, and ensure compliance with ICH/GCP standards and HREC-approved protocols, while collaborating with trial teams, sponsors, and monitors to deliver timely, high-quality pharmacy services.

You will

  • support the management of pharmacy and clinical services, including IP ordering, handling, storage, dispensing, and destruction in compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements;
  • prepare and compound trial medications, including aseptic compounding and GMO products as required, while monitoring inventory and expiry dates;
  • maintain accurate study records and documentation, assist with temperature monitoring, and report adverse events in line with study protocols; and
  • collaborate with clinical trial teams, sponsors, and monitors to ensure pharmacy activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and to the required standards.

About you

You are a registered Pharmacist (AHPRA) with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Experienced in clinical research or investigational product management, you thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while ensuring compliance with complex regulatory requirements. You work well independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, supporting high-quality clinical trial outcomes.

You will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or related discipline;
  • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • Knowledge of clinical research, ICH/GCP, and investigational product management (preferred);
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams;
  • Well-developed computing skills, including databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing, and spreadsheets; and
  • Flexibility to travel to trial sites and work outside standard hours when required.

Desirable

  • Experience with vaccine trials, administering vaccines, or managing complex disease trials;
  • Experience in clinical research, including drug development processes.
