The Opportunity

The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT) collaborates across UniSC to enhance learning and teaching capability, improve student success, and strengthen institutional effectiveness. CLT promotes a culture of scholarly, learner-centred practice through initiatives that support academic integrity, professional development, curriculum design, curriculum accreditation and management, learning and teaching evaluation, and transformative educational experiences through innovation, technologies, and learning spaces.

In this role, you will focus on embedding Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and accessibility practices into curriculum design and delivery. You will work closely with academic and professional staff to create inclusive, equitable learning experiences, build staff capability in technology-enhanced and accessible teaching, and support institutional strategies for curriculum renewal, equity, and student success.

You will:

  • design, develop, and deliver inclusive blended and online learning environments that enhance student engagement and success;
  • provide expert guidance, training, and resources to help staff embed UDL principles and accessibility practices into curriculum and assessment design; and
  • collaborate with academic and professional staff to build capability in inclusive and technology-enhanced learning, supporting institutional strategies for equity, curriculum renewal, and student success.

About you

You are an experienced education professional with a deep understanding of UDL principles and accessibility standards in higher education. Highly collaborative and solutions-focused, you excel at advising, coaching, and supporting staff to embed inclusive pedagogies in their teaching. You are innovative, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining a strong focus on evidence-based improvements in curriculum design and learning technologies.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant degree with at least five years’ subsequent experience in education and technology, or an equivalent combination of experience and training;
  • demonstrated expertise in UDL principles, accessibility standards, and inclusive curriculum design;
  • proven experience designing and delivering professional learning activities, workshops, or resources to support inclusive teaching and technology-enhanced learning;
  • strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders; and
  • proficiency in educational project management, assistive technologies, web accessibility standards, and media development tools.
