The Opportunity

UniSC’s Information Technology team plays a key role in enabling the University’s growth, innovation and digital transformation. As a trusted partner to academic, research and operational areas, IT delivers essential technology services, modern infrastructure and strong governance frameworks that support a dynamic and future-focused university community.

As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex IT initiatives that support UniSC’s strategic priorities. Working closely with stakeholders across the University, you will guide projects from initiation through to implementation, managing scope, resources, risks and budgets while ensuring effective governance and stakeholder engagement. Through strong project leadership and collaboration, you will help deliver impactful digital solutions that enhance the University’s technology environment.

You will

  • lead the planning and delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines and approved project plans;
  • manage project scope, resources, budgets and risks while maintaining strong governance and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle;
  • build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and clear communication across project teams; and
  • oversee vendor engagement, procurement activities and organisational change management to support the successful implementation and adoption of project outcomes.

About you

You are an experienced IT project professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys leading initiatives that create meaningful organisational impact. With strong delivery discipline and stakeholder engagement skills, you bring structure and clarity to projects while supporting teams to work collaboratively toward shared goals.

You combine technical understanding with sound judgement and business insight, enabling you to manage competing priorities, navigate risk and guide projects to successful outcomes. A confident communicator and trusted advisor, you build productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups and remain focused on delivering practical, sustainable solutions.

You will possess:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience in digital or IT project delivery, or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experience;
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes;
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, procurement processes and organisational change management;
  • Experience managing vendors and commercial engagements, ideally within GITC procurement frameworks;
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and business acumen skills; and
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong collaborative relationships.
