The Opportunity

As a Metrics Analyst, you'll play a key role in uncovering insights that drive smarter planning, measure success, and enhance the impact of strategic investments across UniSC's operations. You’ll work closely with external market research providers and internal stakeholders to centralise research efforts, streamline engagements, and identify opportunities for greater efficiencies and shared insights. Collaborating with the Insights and Analytics Unit (IAU) and other sources, you’ll analyse market intelligence to guide strategic marketing and investment decisions. By providing data-driven advice and tracking key performance indicators, you'll help shape UniSC’s marketing strategies, ensuring we continually improve and achieve meaningful outcomes.

You will

  • deliver strategic insights and business intelligence that shape decisions and drive impactful outcomes across UniSC’s operational areas;
  • lead UniSC’s market research efforts, partnering with external providers to centralise insights and unlock a unified understanding of our market and opportunities;
  • champion a data-driven approach within Marketing & Communications, offering analysis and advice that elevates strategic initiatives; and
  • be a digital storyteller, curating and presenting performance insights on everything from website engagement and digital campaigns to student offerings and enrolments.

You will possess:

  • Analytical expertise to transform data into actionable insights that inform decisions and drive solutions.
  • Extensive experience in interpreting market research and analytics, delivering impactful analysis and strategic guidance.
  • A comprehensive understanding of qualitative and quantitative research tools, services, and methodologies.
  • A strategic approach to providing tailored counsel to stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and levels of understanding.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Mixpanel, or Looker to create clear, compelling narratives from complex data.
  • Strong collaboration skills to foster partnerships and enhance UniSC’s profile and reputation.
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities, developing bespoke solutions to address challenges and capitalise on opportunities.
