About you

Our ideal candidate is a natural leader in program delivery, someone who brings clarity, confidence, and a collaborative spirit to complex ICT projects. You know how to balance strategy with detail, from shaping business cases and governance processes through to guiding teams, engaging stakeholders, and making sure every project lands with impact. You’re as comfortable setting high standards for project and change practices as you are fostering growth in your people, creating an environment where your team feels supported to do their best work. With your eye on quality, risk, and results, you’re always looking ahead – connecting projects to the bigger picture, ensuring they deliver real value to the University, and helping UniSC move forward with purpose.

You will possess:

  • Proven experience leading complex portfolios, programs, and projects, with a strong grasp of risk management in large organisations.
  • Expertise in PMO management and governance practices that ensure projects are delivered with impact.
  • A track record of driving real value and benefits from projects, managing constraints like time and budget with confidence.
  • Experience leading large, diverse teams, including internal practitioners and external partners or vendors.
  • Skilled in guiding Change Management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new or enhanced solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure projects are technically robust and operationally ready.
  • Experience developing and reporting on performance metrics across project portfolios.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including facilitating decisions and overcoming project delivery challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, building trust and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining empathy, respect, and diplomacy.
