The Opportunity

Join our team as an IT Vendor and Contract Officer, where you’ll actively manage contracts and supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and risk mitigation. You'll oversee the full contract lifecycle, from processing to coordination and reporting, ensuring optimal value for UniSC. Your role will also involve payment processing, tracking, and ensuring smooth supplier management, contributing to the overall success of the IT department.

You will

  • Ensure that vendor management and financial processes are followed by IT with regards to Contract & Vendor management;
  • Ensure contracts are progressed and managed throughout their lifecycles;    
  • Undertake the administrative activities in support of the contract and vendor processes as defined by procurement
  • Assist with the management of Software licences and their renewals ;
  • Support the reduction of costs, improvement of vendor performance, and foster long-term partnerships through effective contract and vendor management; and
  • Drive Business stability and growth through the continual improvement of Vendor services across the IT Organisation

About you

You have a proven track record in the administration and coordination of vendor and contract management activities and your high-level communication and reporting skills enable you to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders seamlessly. Your ability to build rapport through active listening, empathy, and diplomacy ensures strong collaboration within team environments. You also bring excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, handling confidential matters with professionalism and delivering outcomes that contribute to overall success.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a degree and subsequent relevant experience, or extensive management experience and proven management expertise and/or an alternate combination of education and experience.
  • Sound experience in vendor and contract management, including experience with coordination of Tender process , contract negotiation, contract composition, regulatory obligations and ongoing vendor management;
  • Experience managing handling vendor related issues/incidents;
  • Examples of outcomes where cost reduction was achievable through negotiation; and
  • High-level communication and reporting; relationship management of internal and external stakeholders through excellent interpersonal, organisational and communications skills, including confidentiality and diplomacy, active listening, empathy, and respect within a team environment.
