The Opportunity

Join our team as an IT Operations and Reporting Officer, where you’ll play a vital role in providing the IT Leadership with up-to-date performance reports to support strategic communications and engagement. You'll be instrumental in managing and establishing high-integrity financial data for the IT organisation, leading financial matters and supporting initiatives that showcase the value IT brings to UniSC. In this role, you'll drive engagement, contribute to continuous improvement, and elevate reporting standards across the IT department, helping to enhance its maturity and overall impact.

You will

  • Work across the IT organisation, co-ordinate and collate key metrics (operational, performance, progress towards strategic goals) on a regular basis, to support the ongoing management and improvement of the IT organisation;
  • Support the delivery of transformative change within IT including IT financial management and Budgeting, ensuring related systems and processes are in place and used effectively; and
  • Perform high-level support and executive services as part of the IT Business Management team which promote efficiencies, effective service delivery and best practice operational outcomes.

About you

You have strong communication and organisational skills, enabling you to coordinate multiple parallel activities while effectively prioritising tasks to support excellent stakeholder engagement. Your keen judgement and problem-solving abilities allow you to develop innovative solutions and adapt to changes in a rapidly evolving environment. Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters discreetly is second nature to you, and your resilience and adaptability make you an effective team player, ready to thrive in dynamic settings.

You will possess:

  • completion of a degree with subsequent relevant administration and financial experience in a large and complex organisation, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training;
  • experience in the provision of coordination and management of IT organisation level reporting and support services within a complex corporate environment, and in higher education will be well regarded;
  • skill in analysing information and developing insights;
  • experience in managing budgets and budgeting processes;
  • well-developed reporting skills, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed reports across several software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with PowerBI, Technology One, ServiceNow and SharePoint is highly desirable; and
  • high-level communication and reporting; relationship management of internal and external stakeholders through excellent interpersonal, organisational and communications skills, including confidentiality and diplomacy, active listening, empathy, and respect within a team environment.
