The Opportunity

Be the welcoming face of UniSC for international students. UniSC International is seeking multiple casual International Student Ambassadors to support the University’s engagement, recruitment and operational activities. This role plays a key part in providing authentic peer-to-peer insights and creating positive, welcoming experiences for prospective international students.

As an International Student Ambassador, you will be a first point of contact for prospective international students, delivering front-of-house support, assisting with enquiries, and contributing to events, marketing and student engagement initiatives across UniSC International.

You will

  • represent UniSC International in a professional and positive manner across campus, events and digital channels as a key contact for prospective international students;
  • deliver engaging campus tours, presentations and storytelling (online and in person) that showcase the UniSC student experience;
  • support the delivery of recruitment and engagement events, including set-up, pack-down and on-the-day assistance;
  • provide timely and accurate information to prospective international students across multiple channels, including face-to-face, email, CRM, live chat and online platforms;
  • contribute to marketing and promotional activities, including student-generated content such as testimonials, social media, videos and webinars;
  • assist with administrative and enquiry management tasks supporting international recruitment and conversion activities; and
  • build strong relationships with students, staff and external stakeholders to enhance engagement and strengthen the UniSC international community.

About you

You are an approachable, confident and culturally aware student who enjoys engaging with people and representing UniSC in a positive and professional way. You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing competing priorities, and contributing to both independent and team-based work.

You will possess:

  • Current enrolment as an international student at a UniSC Queensland campus, or prior participation in an approved UniSC Global Learning program (e.g. exchange or short-term study tour).
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment, with a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Well-developed digital literacy skills, including confidence using communication platforms, CRM systems and online engagement tools.
  • The ability to exercise initiative, manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience supporting promotional, engagement or ambassador activities, or the ability to represent UniSC professionally across events, campus activities and digital channels.

Desirable: Proficiency in a language other than English, particularly one relevant to UniSC's key international markets.
