The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll drive development, execution, and evaluation of international student recruitment strategies, focusing primarily on the onshore market while supporting offshore activities across all regions.  Success is measured by meeting annual international student commencement targets and associated revenue, while demonstrating a clear return on investment. You’ll develop and maintain knowledge of international education pathways, qualifications, and market demand, providing valuable market intelligence and operational support related to strategic growth opportunities. You’ll also manage education agent performance, deliver specialist support for enquiry and conversion activities, and build strong stakeholder relationships to enhance UniSC’s global recruitment efforts.

Please note - This role requires occasional non-standard working hours, with potential restrictions on recreational leave during peak periods.

You will

  • contribute to the development and implementation of market-specific international student recruitment strategies for allocated regions, regularly monitoring, reviewing and reporting on performance and return on investment;
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of international education pathways, academic qualifications, and market trends and provide regular insights and detailed reports on market conditions and strategic growth opportunities; and
  • build and sustain strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders and oversee performance and training of education agents.

About you

You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to gather, interpret, and report on market intelligence and performance data to guide strategic decisions. With a proven ability to meet tight deadlines, achieve targets, and resolve problems independently, you demonstrate initiative, commitment, and self-motivation. Your excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, combined with expertise in cross-cultural collaboration, make you capable of representing the university effectively. Additionally, your outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities ensure you work well within teams while upholding the university’s brand integrity.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training;
  • expert knowledge of international student recruitment and/or admissions practices and ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures;
  • ability to understand and interpret a range of source-country education systems, academic qualifications and factors influencing student decisions; 
  • capability to identify and effectively respond to areas of operational risk in an agile manner; and
  • demonstrated understanding of the Australian and international Higher Education sector including current issues and emerging trends in the governance and internationalisation of Higher Education.

Desirable

  • fluency in a language other than English and of relevance to the regions of responsibility.  
  • experience and expertise in the use of a CRM and Eloqua.
