The Opportunity
Join us in a key role where you'll provide essential administrative support to the Vice-Chancellor and President across a broad range of tasks. You'll support the Manager, OVCP, to oversee the general administrative processes of the executive support team, ensuring seamless operations that uphold our commitment to excellence. Your responsibilities will extend to offering administrative and secretarial support to other Executive team members as needed. With a deep understanding of our university's structure, programs, and policies, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the day-to-day efficiency of the Vice-Chancellor and President’s office.
Some elements of this role will be performed as part of a job share arrangement.

Whether it’s managing confidential matters, supporting senior leaders, juggling competing priorities, or coordinating with government and sector stakeholders, you bring care, attention to detail and a strong sense of purpose to every task. You’re also someone who enjoys contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team, always looking for ways to make processes smoother and the day run that bit more efficiently.
You will possess:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain administrative processes and prepare concise, well-structured documents.
• Extensive experience providing executive-level administrative support, demonstrating professionalism in managing enquiries, interpreting policies, supporting committees, and engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic diaries, databases, and other digital systems, with a proven ability to learn new tools efficiently.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage multiple competing priorities, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• A high level of discretion and sound judgement in handling confidential and sensitive matters, coupled with the ability to take initiative and resolve problems proactively.
• Experience in supervising or leading administrative teams in a busy office environment.
