The Opportunity

Join UniSC’s Advancement team, where you’ll drive impactful communications and support initiatives that strengthen our philanthropic and alumni engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with the Philanthropy and Alumni Relations teams to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging, while providing essential administrative support that fuels donor engagement, stewardship, and retention. With a focus on communications strategy and delivery, this role also contributes to events and other Advancement activities, making a tangible difference in connecting our community and advancing UniSC’s mission.

You will

  • Execute effective and relevant donor communications that support donor conversion, service, stewardship, solicitation, retention in a timely manner;
  • Ensure events and communications with donors align with goals, strategy, and messaging of the University;
  • Provide high quality administrative support to further strategic Advancement operations; and
  • Contribute to a positive and safe work environment for you and others, by modelling and promoting conduct that is culturally inclusive, capable, respectful, and ethical.

About you

You are an experienced communications professional, skilled in creating and editing engaging, on-brand content for a variety of audiences. You have strong digital literacy, including experience with CRM, email marketing, CMS platforms, Microsoft Office 365, and social media, and understand best practices for accessibility. You are organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail, and bring excellent relationship management and customer service skills to your work.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a relevant degree in communications or related field;
  • Professional communications experience writing and editing engaging, on-brand content to effectively communicate with different audiences;
  • Excellent digital literacy and understanding of web accessibility, including experience using CRM, email marketing and CMS systems, Microsoft Office 365 suite and social media platforms;
  • Excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, have attention to detail and meet deadlines; and
  • Strong relationship management and customer service skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the not for profit or philanthropic sector.
  • Experience working in a university environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT.
