The Opportunity

At UniSC, our new Learning and Teaching Model is transforming how students learn - offering greater flexibility, choice, and support through a streamlined academic calendar, modern curriculum design, and enrolment options that remove barriers to success. As Business Developer, you’ll play a key role in bringing this vision to life, identifying and shaping market opportunities that align with our evolving programs, informing pricing and delivery strategies, and fostering partnerships that strengthen our place in the sector. Working across academic and professional teams, you’ll combine strategic insight with commercial acumen to help ensure UniSC continues to deliver a high-quality, inclusive, and future-focused education experience.

 You will

  • drive strategies that bring UniSC’s new learning and teaching model to life through new markets, partnerships, and programs that boost enrolments and long‑term success;
  • lead initiatives in online, postgraduate, and transnational education to connect more students with a UniSC experience; and
  • provide evidence‑based insights on the financial and strategic benefits of the model to inform executive decision‑making.

About you

Our ideal candidate is someone who’s excited to turn ideas into real opportunities. You’re curious about what’s next in higher education and confident in using your insight to shape strategies that grow enrolments, diversify revenue, and open new pathways for students. You thrive on collaboration, working closely with colleagues across the University to position programs for success and build partnerships that make a real difference. With a knack for spotting trends, crunching numbers, and turning data into clear direction, you’re just as comfortable leading a business case as you are exploring innovative ways to deliver education. Most of all, you’re motivated by creating opportunities that help more students connect with a UniSC education and succeed in their journey.

You will possess:

  • A track record of shaping and delivering business development strategies that achieve real growth, ideally within the education sector.
  • The confidence and skill to analyse complex markets, spot emerging trends, and provide expert advice that drives new opportunities.
  • Strong relationship‑building and engagement skills, with the ability to influence, represent, and collaborate to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Experience navigating complex environments with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • An understanding of higher education structures, funding models, and strategic planning.
  • A collaborative approach, contributing effectively to cross‑functional teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience in higher education transformation or program development (Desirable)
