The Opportunity

In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support for UniSC’s Student Grievances, Complaints, and Ombudsman functions, managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating meetings. You’ll develop a strong understanding of UniSC’s student grievance policies, applying this knowledge to effectively triage and administer student grievances and misconduct matters, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for all involved.

About you

You have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, enabling you to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You’re a proactive team player who can also work independently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality. Your initiative allows you to develop new administrative solutions, and you excel at building and maintaining productive professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will possess:

  • completion of a relevant university degree or associate diploma with at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training;
  • experience providing customer-focused administrative support including:
    • experience responding professionally to telephone, email and in-person enquiries
    • the ability to assess problems, develop innovative solutions and respond efficiently and effectively
    • a commitment to quality customer service
  • demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice on policies, procedures and guidelines; and
  • experience of using records systems and the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
