Our programs prepare students for careers in medical research, clinical science, health technology, and pathways into medicine and allied health. The discipline is anchored by a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology.

Research in Biomedical Sciences is collaborative and applied, with strengths in areas such as infection and immunity, neuroscience, cancer biology, and chronic disease. We work closely with health services, industry and government partners to deliver research outcomes that respond to real-world challenges—particularly those affecting our regional communities.
