Laboratory Coordinator Technician

- Level 6, $92,964 - $100,603 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
- Full-time, fixed-term appointment until Jan 2026 (Parental leave backfill)
The Opportunity
In this role, you’ll take charge of managing all laboratory samples, from collection and processing to shipping, ensuring every step meets the highest standards. You'll play a key role in maintaining compliance with ICH/GCP, GLP, UniSC CT SOPs, and all relevant regulations, guidelines, and ethics approvals. Your attention to detail will help keep our clinical research running smoothly, ethically, and with scientific integrity.

You will
- coordinate the management of laboratory samples including collection, processing, and shipping (in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations) for all trials conducted at UniSC Clinical Trials (UniSC CT); and
- collaborate with the UniSC CT teams, sponsors and sponsor representatives or delegates to ensure appropriate and efficient management of all clinical trial protocol nominated laboratory samples with adequate documentation.
About you
You're confident working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing proactively to shared goals. With strong computing skills, including clinical trial data entry, database management, word processing, and spreadsheets, you efficiently manage complex tasks. You thrive in fast-paced environments, expertly juggling priorities while maintaining precision, attention to detail, and a clear focus on quality outcomes.
You will possess:
- Completion of a tertiary qualifications in a health or science related degree and relevant laboratory experience – or equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training, and expertise;
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice;
- Comprehensive knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice and applicable regulations;
- Demonstrated competence in general laboratory practices and biological sample handling. Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC) experience desirable;
- Previous experience in a clinical trial laboratory role/setting will be highly regarded; and
- Ability to be flexible to travel to different site locations, if required.
