The Opportunity

We are seeking a casual Health Assistant with lived experience of Down syndrome to join our inclusive research team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of recruitment materials, create easy-to-read resources, provide inclusive communication support, and assist with the distribution of research outcomes. This is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact, working in a supportive environment that values diverse perspectives, promotes accessibility, and celebrates the contributions of people of all abilities.

You will

  • Provide feedback on recruitment and consent materials;
  • Provide feedback on Easy Read materials;
  • Attend (where appropriate) intake interviews to discuss project process; and
  • Input and feedback on presentations.

You will possess:

  • Lived experience of Down syndrome
  • Interest in the health of individuals with Down syndrome
