The Opportunity

As a strategic and creative digital communicator, you’ll play a key role in shaping UniSC’s brand story and bringing our vision of “creating a better tomorrow for all” to life. Your focus will be on developing, managing, and optimising social media and digital content that resonates with diverse audiences, grows engagement, and strengthens UniSC’s online presence.

Working collaboratively across Marketing & Communication, you’ll uncover and share stories that matter, adapt content to suit a range of digital channels, and produce engaging video and visual assets that align with UniSC’s strategic goals. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your creativity, technical skills, and digital-first mindset to make a meaningful impact on UniSC’s reputation and reach.

Please note, this role requires flexibility to work across UniSC campuses and, on occasion, outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends

You will

  • drive UniSC’s content strategy, ensuring we are planned and strategic in developing and distributing content that meets the strategic objectives of the University;
  • curate and coordinate the production of UniSC’s content to ensure it is relevant for its audiences and channel specific; and
  • work closely with colleagues in other parts of M and C to provide strategic advice and hands on support for content initiatives across campaigns, social and strategic communications.

About you

You’re a social media native and versatile communications professional with a proven track record in growing and managing digital presences for brands and businesses. You excel at creating compelling content that meets business objectives, captivates diverse audiences, and drives meaningful engagement across multiple platforms. Skilled in developing and editing video content for digital consumption, with a strong eye for photography, you bring both creativity and technical expertise to every story you tell. Beyond your digital expertise, you are a confident communicator who crafts impactful copy, delivers strategic campaigns, and builds strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels, always approaching your work with empathy and insight.

You will possess:

  • Completion of a degree in journalism, communication, public relations or marketing, combined with at least 4 years writing and project management experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in producing publications that are tailored to the intended audience;
  • A proven ability in preparing, implementing and reporting on communications plans that have achieved agreed objectives; and
  • A proven ability to connect with audiences through compelling copywriting and appropriate channel selection. Demonstrated experience in leading projects with a range of stakeholders within a complex organisation.
