The Opportunity

Join our team and play a vital role in advancing clinical research. As a key member of UniSC Clinical Trials, you’ll support the Pharmacy Manager with the management, storage and dispensing of Investigational Products (IP), ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with approved clinical trial protocols, pharmacy manuals, ICH Good Clinical Practice and applicable guidelines.

Working collaboratively with the UniSC Clinical Trials team, sponsors and monitors, you’ll help ensure the safe, accurate and timely management of IP throughout the clinical trial lifecycle. Your work will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, compliant clinical research and help bring innovative and impactful research to our region.

Please note, this role requires flexibility to travel to different clinical trial sites as needed, and to work outside standard business hours to support confinement studies and other time-sensitive trial activities. You may also be required to participate in a 24/7 on-call or confinement roster.

You will

  • support the Pharmacy Manager with the management, storage, dispensing and accountability of Investigational Products (IP) in accordance with HREC-approved protocols, study-specific pharmacy manuals and applicable guidelines;
  • maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IP accountability records, and support the safe return or destruction of IP in accordance with relevant requirements; and
  • work collaboratively with the UniSC Clinical Trials team, sponsors and monitors to ensure the safe, compliant and high-quality delivery of clinical trials.

About you

You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining accuracy, compliance and high standards. With sound judgement, strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach, you’re comfortable working independently while contributing effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your strong computer literacy and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment will support the safe and efficient management of Investigational Products and the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.

You will possess:

  • A degree qualification in Health Science, Biomedical Science or a related discipline; or a certificate-level qualification with relevant post-certificate pharmacy work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training;
  • Knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and applicable pharmacy regulations and guidelines;
  • The ability to exercise sound judgement, take initiative and solve problems as required;
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with the Microsoft suite of tools and experience using software programs and databases;
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team; and
  • The ability to travel between clinical trial sites and work outside standard business hours as required.
