The Opportunity

We are now seeking an accomplished Associate Professor of Law to join the School of Law and Society and play a pivotal role in advancing our teaching, research and engagement in legal scholarship.

This is an opportunity for a recognised legal academic to contribute meaningfully to the growth of a dynamic law discipline while influencing the next generation of legal professionals.

About the Role

As Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor of Law, you will provide academic leadership within the discipline and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of UniSC’s Law programs. You will combine scholarly excellence with leadership in learning and teaching, while building strong research capability and meaningful engagement with the legal profession and broader community.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and deliver high-quality teaching across key areas of Law, shaping innovative curriculum and inspiring outstanding student outcomes.
  • Drive impactful research, leading research programs, securing external funding, mentoring emerging researchers and contributing to national and international legal scholarship.
  • Build strong partnerships with the legal profession, government and community organisations to enhance research, student learning and societal impact.
  • Provide academic leadership within the School, contributing to governance, strategy and a positive, collaborative academic culture.

This position offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of legal education at UniSC while working within a supportive, collegial academic community.
