The Opportunity
Join the MAIC/UniSC Road Safety Research Collaboration as a Research Associate and help make a meaningful change through innovative road safety research. In this hands-on role, you’ll collaborate with academic staff on high-impact projects focused on road rule compliance and behaviour change, contributing to the design, delivery, and daily operations of research activities. With a solid understanding of the research process, from scoping and data collection to analysis and publication, you’ll play a key part in advancing evidence-based solutions.

You will:
In this role, you’ll build expertise in your field, contribute to collaborative projects, support data collection and analysis, liaise with external partners, help publish and present findings, assist with grant applications, co-supervise students, and foster a collegial, high-performance research environment.
About you
Your positive and engaging approach drives research excellence and fosters strong, productive relationships with colleagues and project partners. With excellent interpersonal skills and polished written and verbal communication, you confidently convey research insights to a wide range of audiences. Your collaborative mindset and readiness to share knowledge contribute to the continued success of research initiatives—and your experience with road safety projects, particularly within the Queensland context, positions you for success in this role.
